Samuele Rossi, born in Lucca, studied filmmaking. His debuted in 2011 with his first feature film La strada verso casa, which helped him win a scholarship from the Italian Cultural Institute of New York to study Screenwriting in New York. Rossi currently teaches at the Tuscan Cinema Academy.

Regarding his film, Rossi said: “I believe Glassboy recall that deep down, all children feel a little like the main character Pino, so fragile, not accepted. And the same is true of the parent, obligated to live the same worries, hopes and expectations.”
