PLOT:

Carmine is a good-hearted mafia guy who runs a money-laundering restaurant. Consuelo is a chef in search of perfection. When they connect, they discover they share a love for food and the dream of winning a Michelin star. This odd relationship will give them both a second chance and an opportunity for redemption.

Davide Minnella was born in Gallipoli. After graduating in Public Relations at the IULM in Milan, he attended the Mediaset Fiction School and the Fandango Laboratory of Direction and Film Production. In 2014 he made hisdebut as director  with the  mockumentary Ci Vorbbe un Miracolo.

Regarding The Perfect Dinner, Bonito said: “I was inspired by a real news story. Reading the newspapers, I realized that there were many stories of restaurants in the center of Rome run by organized crime. Stefano Sardo who wrote the story tried to imagine a parallel reality of fiction. In the film, in fact, Carmine runs a restaurant that launders money."
