Davide Minnella, was born in Gallipoli in 1979, attended the Mediaset Fiction School and the Fandango Laboratory of Direction and Film Production. In 2014 he made his debut as director with the mockumentary Ci Vorbbe un Miracolo. Minnella's film La cena perfetta was nominated for a Nastro d’argento for Best Comedy.
Regarding his film, Minnella said: “The meaning of the film is precisely on the importance of mistakes; in life it is right to try to follow a straight path, but at the same time in a way it is right to be taken by the intuition of saying maybe if I make a mistake I can improve in my life. Sometimes mistakes make us learn to be better people."
