Leonardo D'Agostini was born in Rome. He worked as assistant director for several TV films before making his directorial debut with the short La via del successo in 2005. Regarding his first feature-length film, D'Agostini stated “[In The Champion] soccer is a an important background story, but the film is above all about friendship.” |
