PLOT: Candida is a 15 years old motherless teenager. When her father loses his job, she moves to Turin with him, starts a new life, and attends a new high school. She makes friends with Jacopo, an introverted boy who's often bullied by his classmates, and the two get along well. However, Jacopo's father, who's a rich industrialist, doesn't approve of the new friendship.

DIRECTOR'S NOTES:     FM

Francesco Mandelli, born in Erba, Lombardy, made his TV debut in 1998 in the program MTV Italia, and a year later his film debut in Tutti gli uomini del deficiente. In 2015, he participated in the Festival of San Remo and co-directed the film La solita commedia – Inferno.

About his first feature-length film, Mandelli stated “Well But Not Very Well is a film with light tones, there are moments of humor but its strengths remain sensitivity, emotion, the relationship between children and family.”
