Marco Mancini was born in Pontecorvo . He began his career in 2005 writing and directing the short Il Nostro Segreto. In 2009, he made his feature film debut with two episodes of Feisbum!
Regarding his film, Mancini said: “I was inspired by a news story that took place in Paderborn, Germany. A Jewish doctor refused to operate on a patient due to the large Nazi tattoo on his arm. The doctor, after having been replaced by a colleague, declared: 'I cannot reconcile the surgery with my conscience'. The same conscience that we imagined prevents our protagonist from helping the stranger of the accident.”
