Volfango De Biasi, born in Rome, studied acting in Paris and L.A. In 1994, he made his acting debut in the film Movimenti. He then focused on directing, making his debut with a segment of the anthology Esercizi di stile.  His film Crazy for football won the David di Donatello award for Best Documentary.

De Biasi spoke of his drama, stating "This film is a dip in the memory of the eighties and, at the same time, is a very modern story that speaks of feelings."
